Savior!
This week we discovered the greatness of our God. We discovered that Jesus is our savior. We hear this constantly but what does this really mean? How can we really grab a hold of this truth. We paralleled Jesus being our savior to a firefighter. These brave men and women go into a place that most people wouldn’t and their purpose is to go in and save what or who they can. They put their lives on the line knowing that if they can save one person, it is worth it. Firefighter saves lives.
Jesus came to save lives, he was perfect he did nothing wrong and he loved us so much that he wants us to live with him and God the Father forever in heaven so what does he do? He gives his life and he died for our sins. Jesus died for not just one person, he died for all of us. He wants all of us to meet him, know him and believe in him and what he’s done for us. Jesus is truly the savior of the world, He doesn’t want anyone to be separated from Him or any to suffer. Jesus didn’t run he obeyed because this needed to be done. Jesus came to give us the gift of Salvation.
But this is not enough. Not only are we to accept this gift from the Savior, but we are to point others to the Savior. We are not able to save people from their sin, we are not able to move their hearts to repentance but we point them to the cross, we point them to the savior, whose power is able to save, heal, cleanse…Jesus is able to rescue them. Lets accept this gift from the Savior and point others to him too.

A Letter From Us…
Have your kids join our team…All 4th and 5th graders
In Matthew 28:19, Jesus gives us the mission to “make disciples”. At Gateway Fellowship, as well as in KidzRock kids ministry, we believe that our greatest discipleship opportunity is our children. If we are to mentor our children and have them develop a life-long desire to serve Christ and others, we need to start now! We are inviting you to consider having your child join our KidzRock Krew. The KidzRock leadership team will guide and challenge Krew members as they dig deeper into God’s Word and into a personal relationship with their Creator. We will also offer training in the different areas of ministry that interest your child- including praying with peers, performing sketches, and operating media equipment. Attached is more information about this new team. Please discuss the details with your Kidz Rock children. We are so excited to see their passion for the Lord and will be happy to have them join our team!
Bibles, Bibles, Bibles
Bibles are an important part of our services and a child’s life especially when it comes to our daily devotions. If you missed the last message about your kids and bible please check out the 10-9-11 blog about why we want your kids to have a bible and some help in picking the right one.
