Get to know James

I have worked for the San Antonio Fire Department for 11 years, but my greatest passion is instilling a deep love for Jesus in the lives of children. I gave my life to Jesus at a young age, 5 yrs old.  I remember the day and the service I was in and I remember feeling like the worst sinner in the world.  But ever since then, I just wanted to live a life pleasing to Jesus.  This has been my life’s quest, to live for Jesus and grow to know him more and more each day.  With God providing the opportunities and my  Children’s pastor placing a deep and burning passion to reach children, I have been involved in some area of Children’s ministry for the past 20 years.  There nothing I’d rather do and this brings pure joy in my heart to see children understanding what God wants for their young lives.

I have grown up in San Antonio and now enjoys life with my beautiful bride Beverly and his 5 awesome children (Brielle, Bayley, Bethani, Brooklyn, and finally Andrew). With Beverly partnering with me in this life long ministry, and sharing the same passion for children, we have devoted our lives to making a child’s time with God the most impacting time of their week.

I enjoys life by spending it with family and friends, sharing time with his new son Andrew, all sports (Texas teams), the outdoors, jumping on bouncers, cartoons and a great comedy.  There nothing more satisfying than sitting under tree, drinking a  glass of iced tea, sweet of course, or an iced cold Hawaiian Punch.
